DIY Calendar Blog Hop…August 2026

Welcome to the DIY Calendar Blog Hop. The Hop goes live on the 1st of the month. We hop and share how we decorated our calendars. The calendar template was created by Anne- the Maui Stamper and you can order your own calendar template by clicking HERE.

What do you think of when you think of the month of August? I was looking at the Homemade Sweetness DSP and memories of being in a hot kitchen making berry jam came to mind. We would somehow always pick the hottest possible day to make jam. There’s nothing quite like standing in a hot and steamy kitchen in August. The reward for all that hard work was eating the jam on a cold winter day and thinking about the sweet days of summer.

  • Crushed Curry CS layer behind the calendar.
  • Strip of gingham 3/4″ x 3-1/2″ from the Homemade Sweetness DSP.
  • Lots of fussy cut jars of jam from the Homemade Sweetness DSP.
  • Cute Basic White CS flowers cut using the Filled With Sweetness dies.
  • The centers of the flower are from a now retired embellishment. I like this embellishment for the bright color and the little bit of sparkle it adds to the scene.

Thanks for stopping by and be sure to check out what Anne and Cheryl created for their August calendar.
