Splash & Relax Hello

It is Thursday and you know what that means…it is time for a new Create with Stamping Friends Challenge. This week it is a color challenge. The colors are Daffodil Delight, Mossy Meadow, and Poppy Parade.

All I could think of were flowers but I wanted to make something a little unexpected since well, I do post a lot of flowers.

Okay, so are you wondering what is so unusual about these flowers? Can you guess what stamp set I used to create the flowers? If you guessed the soon to be released Splash & Relax bundle (May Online Exclusive), you would be correct! I was playing around and stamping the beach ball in the Splash & Relax set and realized it would make a cute flower. I stamped the ball and then stamped it again to create the two-tone “flowers”. I added the Mossy Meadow centers (Stylish Shapes dies), a strip of Mossy Meadow CS for the stem, and leaves cut using the Scalloped Blooms dies. What do you think? I thought it was a fun way to use the Splash & Relax bundle.

The sentiments in the Splash & Relax set are very cute. I love the font it looks fun and fresh. I especially like Hello Sunshine. You know it is perfect for summer and also for that friend who is bright and cheery. The card needed something else so I added the butterfly from the Pop-Up Petals bundle and colored it with Daffodil Delight and Poppy Parade Stampin’ Blends. The style of the butterfly just matched the fun and whimsical vibe of the card.

The inside of the card needed something. I usually add a strip of Designer Series Paper but since I didn’t use any DSP I made another flower and butterfly. No sentiment on the inside until I decide who I am sending this to. I can see this as a birthday, thank you, or a just because I was thinking of you card. What would you use this card for?

Thank you for stopping by! Be sure to also check what the rest of the Create with Stamping Friends design team created with this color combination.
