Easter Basket For You

It is Thursday and time for a new Create with Stamping Friends Challenge. This week we have a sketch challenge.

Isn’t it a nice sketch? I had the Easter Basket bundle and the Easter Joy Specialty DSP on my table and thought I would have some fun playing with the different designs in the paper pack.

Is it too much? I know there’s a lot of colors and patterns. I used two different patterns from the Easter Joy DSP for the background. Did you notice the Crumb Cake CS scalloped border between the 2 DSP layers? Are you wondering what die I used to make the scallop? I used the Lovely Arrangement dies. I cut the die with rows of circles and cut 2 rows off and did a little patch job to make a scalloped border to fit. I realize it is hard to see and thought about making the scalloped border in another color. I decided to keep the colors subtle since the colors in the DSP are pretty bold.

One more pattern was used from the Easter Joy Specialty DSP pack. In the paper pack there is a sheet that features different scenes. Behind the bunnies you see blue skies and flowers, that is one of the scenes. I did cut the scene down to fit the scale of the card.

The bunnies were inked with Crumb Cake on Crumb Cake CS. A Flirty Flamingo Stampin’ Blend was used on the bunnies ears and tails. The carrot was also inked with Crumb Cake ink and colored with Peach Pie and Shy Shamrock Stampin’ Blends.
