Fragrant Layers Hello

It is Thursday and time for a new Create with Stamping Friends Challenge. This week we have a color challenge!

When I first saw this I was not sure how I was going to utilize these colors. Blackberry Bliss is not a color I reach for very often. Once I got started playing with the colors I couldn’t stop. It is so funny how this continues to happen. I am thankful that this challenge keeps on challenging me to try new color combinations and layouts.

One of the first ways I thought of was to create a striped background with the colors. Here I have Cloud Cover and Old Olive CS strips over a layer of Basic White CS. The Blackberry Bliss was represented by the Fragrant Layers dies and also a layer of Blackberry Bliss. I cut 2 of the dies and some additional flowers and leaves to create this Blackberry Bliss Fragrant Layers overlay. I also added a few Moody Palette Glossy Dots. The sentiment from the Fragrant Layer stamp set was inked in Blackberry Bliss ink.

Inside I added a few more flowers and leaves using the Fragrant Layers dies.

This was the first card I made creating a striped background with the color challenge colors. I made the above card because it better featured the color challenge colors. What a difference color makes.

All the same supplies were used to make this card except that the flowers are now cut out in Basic White CS

Inside a strip of Cloud Cover CS and a single flower and leaf from the Fragrant Layers dies.

Thanks for stopping by and be sure to check out what the rest of the Create with Stamping Friends design team created for this challenge. If you want to see more cards using this color combination be sure to check out my Facebook page.
