Cheerful Hello Sending Hugs

It is Thursday which means it is time for a new Create with Stamping Friends Challenge. This week we have a sketch challenge. The sketch is sized for a slimline card.

When I saw this sketch I immediately thought about a new set I just received called, Cheerful Hello. This set will be offered for sale in November’s Online Exclusives release. I don’t usually post sneak peeks this far in advance but once I thought of this idea nothing else came to mind.

My slimline card is sized to fit an envelope measuring 3-1/2″ x 6-3/4″. The envelope was in my stash and was sold by Stampin’ Up! years ago. Isn’t that little bird on the envelope so cute? She is also a part of the Cheerful Hello set.

  • Basic White CS 6-5/8″ x 6-3/4″ scored at 3-3/8″ (folded card size 3-3/8″ x 6-5/8″)
  • Woodgrain Wonders DSP 3-1/4″ x 6-1/2″
  • The “tree” is a branch in the Cheerful Hello set that I cut up to extend behind the birds. Additional leaves were added and a twig or 2. The tree was inked in black on Basic White CS and colored using Pecan Pie and Granny Apple Green Stampin’ Blends.
  • The sweet birds were inked in Black on Basic White CS and cut with the Stylish Shapes dies. The top bird was colored using Calypso Coral Stampin’ Blends. The middle bird was colored using Lemon Lolly and Golden Glow Stampin’ Blends. The bottom bird was colored using Balmy Blue Stampin’ Blends. Each square has a Gold Adhesive-Backed Dot on it.
  • The sentiment is from the Sweetly Sentimental Hot Foil Dies using Gold Hot Foil on Early Espresso CS.

Another sweet little bird and sentiment from the Cheerful Hello set inked on the inside of the card.

Thank you for stopping by and be sure to check out what the rest of the Create with Stamping Friends team made for this slimline sketch challenge.
