DIY Calendar Blog Hop…May 2026

Welcome to the DIY Calendar Blog Hop. The Hop goes live on the 1st of the month. We hop and share how we decorated our calendars. The calendar template was created by Anne- the Maui Stamper and you can order your own calendar template by clicking HERE.

What do you think of when you think of the month of May? The first thing I think of is “May Day is Lei day in Hawaii”. I don’t say it I have to sing it. It is just one of those things that is ingrained in me from growing up in Hawaii. I tried to make something different for my calendar this month but I just couldn’t do it so once again a May Day lei Stampin’ Up! style.

Can you identify the stamp I used to create the lei? If you guessed Cutest Crew (Online Exclusive), you would be correct. I stamped the flowers in a lei shaped oval and colored them in with Melon Mambo, Daffodil Delight and Shaded Spruce Stampin’ Blends.

The “aloha” is from a long retired die, In the Tropics. I don’t keep a lot of retired stamps or dies but I do keep the ones that remind me of Hawaii. The tiny little Melon Mambo heart is from the Thoughtful Moments Hybrid Embossing Folder and dies. This folder and dies are on the Last Chance list and still available the last time I checked. I will also be keeping this folder and dies. Among the dies are small hearts, flowers, stars, leaves and rainbows that I have used so many times when just a little something is needed.

Thank you for stopping by and be sure to check out what Cheryl and Anne have made for their May calendar.
