Gorgeously Made for the Festive Friday Challenge #137

Ready for another Festive Friday challenge?   What is the Festive Friday challenge?  The Festive Friday challenge is a bi-weekly challenge that is inspired by a holiday/festivity.  An Inspo list of 10 items is created using the festivity as its inspiration.  To play in the challenge you need to use 3 items from the Inspo list on your project and enter it in the Festive Friday gallery.  We love seeing what you choose from the Inspo list and look forward to seeing what you create.

The three items I picked to use from the Inspo list-Green, Blue, and Silhouette.

  • Card base-Basic Black 4-1/4" x 11"
  • Layer-Parakeet Party CS  3-1/4" x 4"
  • Basic White CS 3" x 3-3/4"

I started by applying Parakeet Party ink with a Blending Brush to the bottom portion of the Basic White CS.  I added Pretty Peacock ink with a Blending Brush from the top down.  I added water to a drop of White Craft ink and used an Aqua Painter to add some splatters.  I repeated the splattering using Wink of Stella.   Unfortunately I wasn't able to capture the sparkly splatters in my photo.

The silhouette is from the Gorgeously Made dies cut in Basic Black CS.  I added a Black Baker's Twine bow.  The sentiment is from the Cottage Wreaths set.  I am not sure why I didn't use the hello from the Gorgeously Made set.

Inside I added a couple of strips that were trimmed off from the front panel.  It was serendipitous that they were cut in different widths.  I added a partial die cut using the Gorgeously Made dies.

What will you choose from the Inspo List to inspire your creation?  I look forward to seeing your creations in the Festive Friday Gallery.  Be sure to check out what inspired the rest of the Festive Friday Design Tean.

  1. Sharon, I am in love with that blue/green blend on your background! It looks amazing with the black silhouette image, definitely going to try that!

  2. Sharon, gorgeoous blending of the green and blue and the splatters add so much interest. The black frame with the black silhouette of the leaves really helps us focus on them. Fabulous card
