Inspire, Create, & Share Blog Hop…It’s a Guy Thing
Today I am posting a little later than usual. There is a good reason. I am participating in the Inspire, Create & Share Blog Hop for June! Fun right?! The Inspire, Create & Share Blog Hop goes live on the first Wednesday of the month at 6 pm Pacific time. The theme this month is Guy cards. Oh my! Yes, this is my card making kryptonite! I made 2 other cards before making the one I am sharing with you. One of the cards I made will never be seen and the other I liked but my husband said it wasn't masculine. I will share that one later in the week and you can tell me if he was right.
We both decided or maybe he saw the desperation in my eyes and agreed that this was indeed manly or at least handsome. Phew! There isn't a ribbon or bow in sight. I did add a little shine with the Foil Frenzy Specialty Designer Series Paper, cooper foil and embossing, and just a teensy bit of glittery goodness (I couldn't resist!).
What is Glittery Goodness? This is something I utilize a lot to add a little sparkle to my cards. I cut out the solid leaf image from the Seasonal Layers thinlits and covered it with VersaMark ink. I heat embossed it using a mix of Clear Embossing Powder and Dazzling Diamond Glitter (start with a 1-1 mix). Layered over the glittery copper leaf with the detailed leaf image cut in Soft Sky card stock.
You know how I like a challenge. I saw that the Stamps, Ink, Paper Challenge theme this week is Masculine and I thought I would submit this card to the challenge. I guess we all have our minds on manly projects with Father's Day on the 18th.
