Serene Snowflakes?

Good Morning!  I was up early this morning tinkering in my stamp room.  I keep a box of new products on my stamp table to remind me that I need to make something with the new goodies before buying more!  I know what a concept!   The Serene Snowflake set from the Holiday mini catalog got inked up this morning.  Here's the first thing I made with this set.

I inked the large image in silver Encore ink and embossed it with silver embossing powder.  I did use a Stampamajig to help me get the images lined up.  I want to show you a little experiment I did.

Do you know what I did to get the different looks on the ovals?

Scroll down for the answer.

The top oval was inked with Silver Encore ink and embossed with Silver embossing powder.

The bottom oval was inked in Black Craft ink and then embossed with Silver embossing powder.   I knew it would make a difference but was surprised at how much of a difference it made.

Drop by tomorrow for more Holiday Mini catalog goodness!
