Phrases & Frames Sympathy Card

It’s Thursday and time for a new Create with Stamping Friends Challenge. In July the challenges are to CASE the Catalog. This week the card to CASE can be found on page on page 41 of the 2026 May-August Mini Catalog.

What does it mean to CASE the Catalog? You can choose what to be inspired by. Maybe you are inspired by the colors, the stamp set, or maybe the layout. You get to choose. I chose the layout.

I love the simplicity of three sayings against a beautiful background.

• Basic Black CS 4-1/4″ x 11″.
• Luxe White Specialty DSP 4″ x 5-1/4″.
• 3 Basic Black CS cut using a Stylish Shapes banners die.
• Sentiment from the Phrases & Frames stamp set inked in Versamark and embossed using the silver Metallics WOW! Embossing powder. The sentiment was inked and stamped one line at a time on a banner. I used Post It notes to block off the sentiment I wasn’t inking and removed the Post It before stamping on the banner.
• Iridescent Pearls on each end of the banners.

I like the simple, clean and elegant look of this card. I think it is just right for a sympathy card.

• Luxe White Specialty DSP 1-1/2″ x 4″.
• Strip of Basic Black CS cut to 4″.
• Sentiment from the Phrases & Frames stamp set inked in Memento ink.

The Luxe White Specialty DSP is so pretty. The design has a shine to it that is both subtle and noticeable. A touch of shine and design to make it interesting.
