Delicate Pines

It is Thursday and time for a new Create with Stamping Friends Challenge. This week it is a color challenge, Basic White with any Metallic. I have always like white with silver and my mind has been on snowflakes since we have about 6″ of snow on the ground. When I think about snowflakes I think about the Delicate Pines bundle. I really like this stamp set with the pretty twist on snowflakes.

This week I have been working on making the last of my Christmas cards. Quick and simple is what I am focusing on. I think this card might qualify even though heat embossing does take a little more time, it still is magical to watch. I think heat embossing was the thing that captivated me when I first started stamping. Watching the transformation from a dull powder to a shiny and raised image, simply amazing.

• Thick Basic White CS card base 4-1/4″ x 11″ scored at 5-1/2″.
• Basic White CS layer 4-1/4″ x 5-1/2″ embossed with the Beautiful Pattern Embossing Folder and adhered to the card front.
• Basic White CS cut using the #8 (#1 being the smallest arch) Everyday Arches die.
• Stamp the sentiment (Jolly Holly) on the Basic White arch with Versamark ink and apply silver embossing powder. Heat emboss with the Heat Tool.
• Adhere the arch to the card front.
• Stamp the 4 sizes of snowflakes in Versamark ink and heat emboss with silver embossing powder.
• Cut each snowflake using the Delicate Pines dies and assemble. Use Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals for the last snowflake. Adhere to the arch.
• Attach a Drusy Adhesive-Backed Embellishment to the center of the snowflake.

It is hard to capture the silver embossing. I hope this picture will better show how pretty the silver embossing is.
