Fragrant Layers Note

Happy New Year! I hope 2026 will be a great one for all of us. In addition to being the start of a new year, today is also the first Create with Stamping Friends challenge of 2026. We have a lovely sketch to start of the new year.

I took a little creative license and changed the orientation of the sketch. I wanted to use the upcoming Fragrant Layers bundle, a January 2026 Online Exclusive release.

The Fragrant Layers bundle has a die that is perfect to use to inlay different colors of cardstock to create an image. I know it can be a little tedious to do, especially some of the tiny pieces. I may have used embellishments (Strawberry Slush & Pretty in Pink Gems) to cover up some of the tiny missing pieces.

  • Old Olive CS card base 4-1/4″ x 11″.
  • Lovely & Beautiful Specialty DSP (166957) debuting in the 2026 Jan-April Mini Catalog (starts January 6th).
  • Old Olive CS layer 2-7/8″ x 3-3/4″.
  • Gold Foil 2-5/8″ x 3-1/2″ cut out the frame. Keep the cut out pieces to inlay parts in the frame.
  • Calypso Coral, Petal Pink and Peach Pie CS to fill in the flowers in the frame.
  • Basic White CS cut using the Fragrant Layers die.
  • Sentiment from the Fragrant Layers set inked in Old Olive ink.

On the inside I added another flower and leaves from the Fragrant Layers dies and a strip of the Lovely & Beautiful Specialty DSP. For right now I am leaving the inside without a sentiment. This side view shows the shiny gold foil accents on the DSP. It is a very pretty pack of paper and the colors make me feel like spring is on its way.

Thank you for stopping by and be sure to check out what the rest of the Create with Stamping Friends design team created with the sketch.
