Stampers Dozen Blog Hop…Countdown to Christmas

Welcome to the Stampers Dozen Blog Hop. This month our theme is the Countdown to Christmas. My cards are pretty much all made. In addition to getting my cards mailed I am also working on little treats. One of my favorite treats is a cookie and some tea.

I love the idea of us sitting by our Christmas tree on Christmas at 3:30 and thinking about friends and family. What a perfect time to take a break and relax with a cup of tea and a cookie. This poem is not my creation and after a little light Googling I am still not sure who wrote it.

This is a quick and easy box bag. One of the nice things is that it can be made without any adhesive. I usually secure some pieces down but it is optional.

Inside I have 3 tea bags and some individually wrapped shortbread cookies, a perfect little afternoon tea nibble. I will have a short video of how to make this treat bag but it is not quite ready. The basic measurements is 7″ x 12″ piece of DSP scored at 5″ and 7″ along the 12″ side and 1-3/4″ on either side (1-3/4″ and 5-1/4″) along the 7″ side. I also used the 2-3/8″ circle punch to cut out the poem and the #5 Stylish Shapes circle (#1 being the smallest circle). I used the Shiny Real Red Ribbon and the Real Red & White Adhesive-Backed Peppermints.

Thanks for stopping by and be sure to check out what Patty and Rachel have made!
