Nests of Winter

It is Thursday-Happy Thanksgiving! It is also time for a new Create with Stamping Friends Challenge. This week it is a sketch challenge.

I always like a sketch that features 3 things. It is a design motif I use a lot.

  • Thick Basic White CS card base 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″ scored at 4-1/4″.
  • Real Red CS layer 4″ x 5-1/4″.
  • Nests of Winter DSP layer 3-7/8″ x 5-1/8″.
  • Real Red CS arches #3 (#1 being the smallest) from the Everyday Arches die.
  • Basic White CS arches cut using the Creative Haven dies.
  • Lightly applied Pool Party ink with Blending Brushes on the Basic White CS arches.
  • Birds, pine boughs and berries cut from the Nests of Winter DSP.
  • Sentiment from the Jolly Holly stamp set.
  • Red & White Baker’s Twine wrapped around and tied in a bow.

The berries were covered with Fine-Tip glue. They add a little dimension and shine. There is a lot of fussy cutting on this card. I don’t mind fussy cutting especially if I am watching a show or listening to a good book.

Thank you for stopping by and be sure to check out what the rest of the Create with Stamping Friends design team created with this sketch.

Wishing you a lovely day filled with much fun and laughter!
