Coneflower Celebrations Celebrating You

It is Thursday which means it is time for a new Create with Stamping Friends Challenge.  This week we have a color challenge.  

I am not a purple person.  It is not a color I wear much and not a color I regularly reach for when I craft.  This is one of the reasons I enjoy doing color challenges.  I am required to use colors that are not part of my usual choices. 

I used the Coneflower Celebrations bundle for my card.  This is a big beautiful flower!  Not too much else is needed for a card front using this flower.  

The card base is Gorgeous Grape and the layer is Fresh Freesia.  The DSP is the Perennial Lavender DSP.  I stamped the Elements of Text stamp on the DSP in Gorgeous Grape ink.   I like the little added interest the text gave the DSP.  The stem and leaves are Old Olive CS.  The flower petals were cut in Fresh Freesia and Highland Heather.  The top set of Fresh Freesia petals were brushed with Highland Heather and Gorgeous Grape ink.  The center of the flower is Gorgeous Grape and the detail on the die is so good.  The Stylish Shapes die was used for the sentiment and the Purple Fine Shimmer Gems finishes the banner.

The circle border was cut using the Coneflower Celebration dies.  The butterfly is also from the Coneflower Celebrations stamp set and colored using Fresh Freesia and Highland Heather Stampin' Blends.
