Around the World on Wednesday Blog Hop…Something New, Something Old

AWOW hop header

Welcome to the Around the World on Wednesday blog hop!  We are a group of international Stampin' Up!© demonstrators who have gathered together for a monthly blog hop.  The blog hop goes live on the 2nd Wednesday of the month.  This month our theme is Something New, Something Old.

I decided to focus on the Something New and am sharing the Daffodil dies from the 2022 J-J Mini Catalog and the Daffodil Afternoon DSP from the January-February Sale-A-Bration.   I love the coordination between the Daffodil Daydream bundle in the the Mini Catalog and the Daffodil Afternoon DSP in the Sale-A-Bration brochure.

I cut a 4" x 12" piece of the Daffodil Afternoon DSP scored at 5-1/2" and 10".  The edge of the flap was cut using one of the Basic Border dies.  The DSP pouch is secured together using a piece of Pale Papaya 3/8" Open Weave Ribbon.  I used the Daffodil Dies and created a daffodil fashioned after the daffodil on the DSP.  The colors are Very Vanilla, Pale Papaya, Flirty Flamingo, and Pear Pizzaz.  The daffodil is secured on to the pouch with Stampin' DImensionals.

The sentiment is from the Eden's Garden stamp set.  The card is a piece of Basic Black CS 3-7/8" x 5-3/8" and Very Vanilla 3-3/4" x 5-1/4".

Now it is time for you to hop on over to see what Teri West has created for you!

Color is so fascinating.  Today I have 2 cards that use the same colors and are almost identical except that I have switched the colors around and slightly tilted one of the layers.  I am surprised how the simple act of changing the colors around changes the look of the cards so much.    …

  1. Sharon, You have the most beautiful and amazing cards that just blow me away. Thank you for the inspiration and all your hard work. Hugs from Oregon

  2. That is a very pretty pocket card. The rounded corners are a nice touch. The die-cut daffodil: it’s almost ready to pick!
