Create with Connie and Mary Challenge #CCMC409
It is Thursday so it is time for the Create with Connie and Mary Challenge. I love this week's sketch! I enjoyed this sketch so much that I made 2 cards for it. Look for the second card this weekend.
I am crazy about the new Pop of Pink Specialty Designer Series Paper. This bold stripe is from that pack of paper. Kind of reminds me of a referee's shirt. I used my go to colors of Black, White and Real Red. The new Layering Squares are fabulous. I will be making good use of these framelits. I used the Sprinkles of Life set to stamp the candle and the "Happy Birthday". I also used the Cottage Greeting set for the main sentiment.
I colored the candle with a Real Red marker and highlighted the flame with some Dazzling Diamonds glitter. It is a pretty bold card and I am really happy with how it turned out.
Be sure to check out the Create with Connie and Mary blog and see what the other designers made using this sketch. So many fun ideas! Thank you for stopping by and I hope you will join us and play along with the challenge!

Red/white/black is always a favorite of mine! Just so classy and chic! This is a fabulous card! Looks like a fancy boutique card. Love how you have used the square framelits.
Wow! The bold stripe really draws you into this card! I love the way the stripe on the little candle ties into the background paper….it’s the small details that count! Fabulous!
Wow such a bold and beautiful card Sharon – I love it! The colour scheme is very striking!
Those big, bold stripes are so crisp and exact – they pair well with the layering squares! It all looks so clean and chic in black and white with just a pop of red!
Love those black and white stripes Sharon – this card reminds me of those special shopping bags from an upmarket boutique store! The red is the perfect accent colour and the little candle adds a fun element. Tres chic!
This is simply a wonderful card Sharon! Love the choice of colors!
