Queen for a Day?

I was happy to see that the You're a Gem set is in the 2011-2012 SU Idea Book and Catalog.  When I first saw the You're a Gem stamp set in the Holiday mini catalog I really liked all the sayings but was unsure about the Queen for a Day saying.  Why?  Well, in  my mind you should be treated like a queen all the time not just for the day.  Hmmm.

Flirtatious DSP You're a Gem

After I finished the front of this pocket card I knew just what I had to do to correct the situation.

Flirtatious DSP You're a Gem inside
Just a little markering and the addition of  another saying from the You're a Gem set and now it makes way more sense!

Don't you love the scallop behind the Queen for a Day?  This is a new die for the Big Shot called Perfect Pennants.  There are 2 great medallions on this die and 3 different sizes of pennants.  Winner!  The 1 3/4" circle punch layers perfectly in this scallop and if you look closely you will see that I stamped one of the doilies from the Delicate Doilies set.  The beautiful paper with the doily design is called the Flirtatious Specialty DSP.  You will be seeing a lot more of that paper, it is gorgeous.

Supplies:
Stamps: You're a Gem. Delicate Doilies, Tiny Tags (crown)
Ink: Basic Black, Pretty in Pink, VersaMark
Paper:  Pretty in Pink, Melon Mambo, Whisper Whtie, Brights DSP pack, Flirtatious Specialty DSP
Big Shot: Perfect Pennants
Punches: Round Tab punch, 1-3/4" circle punch
Extras: Gold embossing powder
