Sweets for the Sweet Flowers
Put on your shades cause these flowers are bright! I got the idea to use this stamp from the Sweets for the Sweet stamp set to make a flower from the display boards on the SU! Alaska cruise. I thought it was a fun and clever way to use the stamp. This card definitely looks like summer!
Usually I tell people to stamp first and then punch but in this situation it is much easier to punch the Fancy Flower punch first and then stamp.
Supplies
Stamps: Sweets for the Sweet, Build a Blossom, Happy Greetings
Ink: Tempting Turquoise, Melon Mambo, Peach Parfait, Old Olive, Daffodil Delight
Paper: Whisper White, Tempting Turquoise, Melon Mambo, Peach Parfait, Old Olive, Daffodil Delight
Punches: Fancy Flower, 1 " circle, Blossom Petals Builder
Big Shot: Perfect Polka Dot TIEF
Extras: Wire for the flower stems, Daffodil Delight Taffeta Ribbon (retired-sorry), Crystal Effects
(Bold and Italicized 2011-2012 SU Catalog, Bold in the Summer Mini Catalog)
I used wire for the stems of the flowers so they would move, just like real flowers. Thought it would be a fun touch. I put Crystal Effects on the Daffodil Delight flower centers and it unfortunately masked some of the details of the stamp (spiral) I used that is also from the Sweets for the Sweet set.
The Sweets for the Sweet stamp set is a fun new set and I hope you enjoyed another look at how versatile it is. Check out this post for more ways to use this stamp set!
